June 22-26, 2025 | Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh
From 22–26 June 2025, the Rohingya Advocacy Center (RAC) of ASP Foundation successfully organized a 5-day Training of Trainers (ToT) on Advocacy and Leadership Development, with the support of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) and the Canada Fund for Local Initiatives (CFLI).
The training was held at the CiC Office Conference Rooms in Camps 1E and 3, engaging 20 youth volunteers from Camps 1E, 2E, 2W, 3, and 7. Each camp contributed four participants, including at least one young woman, ensuring gender inclusion and youth representation.
Over five days, participants gained skills in advocacy, leadership, and resilience to strengthen their ability to represent their community and advance rights-based initiatives. The sessions were enriched by the active engagement of local authorities:
On Day 4, the Camp-in-Charge (CiC) of Camp-3 highlighted the importance of inclusive leadership and women’s empowerment.
On the final day, H. M. Khodadat Hossain, Senior Assistant Secretary, RRRC, inspired participants to align their personal growth with broader education and development goals to prepare for future repatriation.
This initiative marks a significant step toward building a generation of Rohingya youth leaders committed to resilience, rights, and representation. It reflects RAC’s vision of putting Rohingya voices at the center of advocacy efforts for a dignified and just future. We are grateful to SDC and CFLI for their kind support in this initiative.
