Stakeholders’ Dialogue on the Rohingya Situation

A High-Level Stakeholders’ Dialogue on the Rohingya Situation was held on 24–25 August in Cox’s Bazar, serving as a preparatory platform for the upcoming High-Level Plenary Meeting in New York on 30 September 2025.

The dialogue also marked the tragic anniversary of 25 August 2017, when the Rohingya community faced a brutal campaign of violence — including mass killings, sexual violence, and the destruction of entire villages — perpetrated by the Myanmar junta.

Relevant stakeholders participated in the dialogue, including Rohingya representatives, UN entities, academics, and development partners, united in their commitment to ensure justice and solutions for one of the world’s most persecuted communities.

Together, we reaffirmed a shared vision: that the Rohingya people must be able to return to their homeland with safety, dignity, and lasting peace.
